Our Achievements

WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT

Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak’s efforts and active role in promoting the Emirati women’s position worldwide are crystal clear in the unprecedent achievements which were carried out since the establishment of the United Arab Emirates in 1971. Out of her firm belief in women’s ability to actively contribute to the different fields of development, which is based on women’s achievements in different fields of work, Her Highness formed several initiatives to support women economically. She also worked hard to provide for women whatever they need to be able to balance between their jobs and their families.

MATERNAL AND CHILD WELFARE

Since the early years of the establishment of the UAE, maternal and motherhood have been given special care and monitoring by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak who has been intimately involved in permanent initiatives to promote it, regionally and internationally. Upon visiting the UAE in May 1992, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) delegation praised Her Highness’ for her role in serving women’s and children’s issues, and for the achievements realized in that field and for her future, creative plans.

HUMANITARIAN EFFORTS AND INITIATIVES

The humanitarian action of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak is diverse and wide, with constantly increasing expansion at the level of the Arab region and throughout the entire world. The honours and respect received by Her Highness from different international forums reflect her pioneering role in establishing humanitarian action; one that is bolstered by multiple means of effective and productive contribution in that regard. It is the best expression of the spiritual values of construction and authentic legacy: a history of sustainable giving, and humanitarian attitudes reflecting every principle of loyalty and Islamic values.

THE FATIMA BINT MUBARAK LADIES OPEN

A championship aiming at promoting the spread of the golf sport in the United Arab Emirates, especially among women, to cope with the State’s encouragement for them to contribute to all the sports, health and physical education activities throughout its corners.

FBMA INTERNATIONAL SHOW JUMPING CUP

Being one of the most important equestrian events worldwide, the competition is attended by local, regional and international players.

An Award that aims at supporting social development, promoting the family integration values and honoring the distinguished families that positively contributed to making a qualitative addition to Abu Dhabi first, and to the UAE second.

H.H SHEIKHA FATIMA BINT MUBARAK AWARD FOR WOMAN ATHLETES

Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for Woman Athletes has been launched as a vital step promoting the UAE civilized image and opening the doors of excellence and creativity in sports to the UAE and Arab women.

This Award aims at creating an ideal work environment to accommodate people with special needs.

HH SHEIKHA FATIMA BINT MUBARAK COMPETITION (ILLUMINATING FINGERPRINTS)

The competition annually honors those ladies living up with Breast Cancer Disease and who left illuminating fingerprints in their family’s and society’s service.

INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF ARABIAN HORSE RACING (IFHAR) CHAMPIONSHIP

A ladies’ championship for the pure Arabian horses.

A championship aiming at supporting, backing and encouraging sportswomen, and reinforcing the atmosphere of fair competition among them as well as improving their performance on different levels: individually and collectively.

FBMA TROPHY FOR FIGURE SKATING

A competition launched by Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy (FBMA) in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Sports Council and UAE Ice Sports Federation, with the aim of increasing women’s participation in skating.

SHEIKHA FATIMA BINT MUBARAK AWARD FOR MEDICAL EXCELLENCE IN GASTROENTEROLOGY

Launched to contribute to providing a creative environment that fosters innovation and the exchange of international expertise in the field of gastroenterology.

AWARD FOR ARAB YOUTH IN MAY

Patron and honor the winners of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak international Award for Arab youth in May 2015.

The Medal is awarded to a number of the leading gulf institutions as a strong motive to increase their contributions to the corporate social responsibility.

MY GARDEN MY CITY

A competition held in Abu Dhabi for encouraging the inhabitants and the school and university students to deeply care about the city’s outlook, to pay special attention to trees and flowers and to beautify backyards and lawns as well as the educational institutions gardens and models.

IDEAL MOTHER OF EMIRATES AWARD

The Award aims at appreciating mothers’ role in general, and the working mothers’, surrogate mothers’ and foster families in particular, in building the society. It also highlights the surrogate mothers’ role in bringing up children and promoting the intrinsic values in them. It also appreciates the role of mothers with special needs and those mothers responsible for raising children with special needs. It furthermore contributes to spreading the family cooperation culture, reinforcing stability and promoting individuals’ and groups’ roles to integrate into the society.
